Three Schools, Three Deep NCAA Runs?

All three Wisconsin universities that will compete in the NCAA tournament had great seasons on the court. But which school, Wisconsin men, Marquette men or Green Bay women, will have the best shot at a deep run in their respective tournament?

"Grimm's Fairy Tale Off-season"

Once upon an offseason, there was a merry young batsman, who went into the winter hot stove league elected as his league's Most Valuable Player from the season before. He personally had enjoyed a great stretch run during which he played sensationally. He got hits on the clutch when the team needed them most, and in the field he made diving catches delivering outs to his pitchers when they needed them most.

Phoenix Women Primed for Postseason

It's hard not to root for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay women's basketball team once the NCAA tournament rolls around. Despite finishing the regular season with just one blemish -- a 70-58 loss at home to Detroit on Feb. 9 -- and a secure spot in the top 25 polls all season, the Phoenix will be underdogs once again in the Big Dance.

The Phoenix -- ranked No. 10 in both the AP Top 25 and ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll -- just doesn't get as much respect nationwide as it should. Period. That's because Green Bay plays in a mid-major conference, the Horizon League, and the competition isn't deemed as fierce night in and night out as teams playing in conferences such as the Big East and Big 12.
